The Playitas resort in Fuerte Ventura is a perfect year round training destination for triathletes.

Unlike many 50 m outdoor pools in Europe, the climate in Fuerta Ventura means the 50m outdoor pool at the resort can be used throughout the year.  The pool also boasts an underwater gallery from which to observe athletes’ swimming technique.

There are eight marked running trails at the resort, with distances ranging from 3.1km to 21.1km.  The running trails are a combination of on and off road and take you through the country side near the resort.

The empty roads in Fuerte Ventura are perfect for cycling and there are plenty of hills to get your heart rate going.

After a hard day’s training, the wide variety of food served at the resort buffet will be just what you need to recharge your batteries.
